A little about me

In 2017, I survived an avalanche while on a heli-boarding trip in Colorado’s back country. This little wake up call reminded me to not put off pursing the things you are passionate about, and to appreciate the ones you love most of all. I love the craft of voice acting as much as I love gliding down trails and slopes. And so I began intensive study of voice acting, in addition to the VO I was already doing as an Instructional Designer. An avalanche survivor, I just know how to roll with it, and you will find me to be flexibly directable, and a lot of fun to work with. I approach recording sessions the way I approach an intimidating jump - by looking ahead, spotting the landing, and with one hundred percent commitment. In commercial work, I offer a uniquely human range from the smart shopper with a knowing wink of your best friend, the tech-savvy trusted coworker, the confident leader at a board meeting, to the nerdy gear-obsessed athlete with real, conversational believability. For animation and video games, I offer strong, powerful, confident female leads and a wide range of interesting non-human characters.

I am professionally trained, have ongoing coaching relationships with Nancy Wolfson of BrainTracks Audio, Donna Grillo, Randall Ryan and Rachel Alena. As an athlete, I understand how traning and practicing your craft is a lifelong endeavor. I also actively participate with Bend Comedy Improv troupes.

Growing up, my family also preferred living in close proximity to mountains in the forests of Colorado and New Mexico. A side benefit of growing up an only child semi-feral in the woods, I had lot of time to create many characters and imaginary friends with unique voices to keep me company. Born into a family of performers, I have been on stage in one way or another, since the age of 6. The stage was my babysitter and the backstage my playground with all the makeup and costumes. A lifetime of training as an athlete, performing as an actor and front-woman in multiple bands, informs my unique voice. Fast-forward to “adulting”, working as an animator in the video gaming industry introduced me to the world of voice acting. When invited to voice various characters, I jumped at every chance to lend my diverse voices and weirdness to the game. What fun! Of course I love to spout fighting words, blood curdling screams, and monstrous robot plots.

When I’m not voicing documentaries, demos, commercials or characters, you will most likely find me wandering in a forest somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. An athlete, avid mountain biker, snowboarder, skier and general thrill seeker, I like to keep sharp by pushing the boundaries of what’s possible “for a girl”. My family keeps me sane, nurtured, and loved. I could not do this without their support and belief in me, and for this I feel gratitude every day.
